Airbagit13s Mini Spy Tricopter (flown w/ OP CC)

Hello, my name is Chad and I am addicted to Tricopters...

So its hard to fly in the day time with a baby to take care of but once she falls asleep the world is my oyster. I have been doing a lot of night flying with my multirotors so I decided to build myself a little mini spycopter.

I already had a mini Tricopter frame that I bought off a buddy (pictured below) but I didn't really trust it. I want to try to do some 2-3 mile night flights with this one and would never try that with a rig I don't trust. The solution, build it myself... Her arms are about 6 inches long for all those curious.

    Using:
    3x 2212 motors
3x 18a Turnigy Plush ESCs (programmed to nicd)
    Dragon Link 12ch RX
    RMRC 540 cam w/ OSD
    RMRC Night Lens for cam
    RMRC 300mw Vtx
    HK Simple OSD
Inverted Vee antenna (not added in the photos)
    Open Pilot Copter Control FC
    Lost Model Alarm

I expect to get about 8-10 minutes of flight time using a 2200 lipo and will use a 2700mah 3s for my distance runs. I am really excited about this bird, should have her up and in the air tonight and some video to show.

Pictured below you can see her chilling with her big sister.

Thanks guys, I am excited about this rig. Its a really small bird, I would say she is 350 size maybe 400. Wasn't able to get her up in the air last night, ended up passing out but tonight is the night! lol

Hahaha no worries Kevin, I got it all sorted out.

That's funny, I just built a tiny tricopter too... Well, 12" arms anyways. After flying it I think I'll cut 'em down to 10" though, was expecting more aerobatic. How long are yours? Motor to motor dimensions? Looks pretty cool!! Where did you get that OP case? All up weight?

Motor to motor distance I am unsure of, I will measure when I get home. Her arms are about 6'' long. 7'' in reality but 1'' of each boom is secured into the frame. Im also unsure of the weight but it is one of the lightest FPV rigs I have ever felt, I'll try to remember to bring it to work with me tomorrow and throw it on the scale.

The CC case is a Frankencase, not sure where to get them from but my other CC board is protected by a similar made case from an RCG member: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1597990 It is an excellent kit.

The frame I bought off another member http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1600799 Both of my Tricopters are outfitted with this kit. It is extremely durable and It is also very easy to build.

Sorry for all the links to el forum de loco but oh well.
