Here's what $6k sounds like hitting a tree.

By far the stupidest rc-related mistake Ive made. As I flew into the top of the tree, for a split second I said to myself "I think I'm too close..."

Damn....that was a Trex or some such helicopter? Love the sound of it before impact, sounds like a full scale heli!

So I was testing out some changes I made to my TwinStar, and was flying LOS to see how she handled. The CG felt very tail-heavy, so as I brought it around to land to adjust the CG, my apparently piss-poor depth perception got the better of me. I could have sworn I was closer than I was, and thought for sure I'd make the turn.

Far better is it to dare mighty things, even though checkered by failure; than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Nah, broke one servo horn, one wing retention clip (did what it was meant to!) and a small dent on one wing that will boil out in some elapor soup. My pride took the worst damage.

To answer your youtube comment: that is eagletree's OSD.
