brass or gold plated, two choicesthe ones on this picture are gold plated.
30mm is fine as I use 35mm spacers on my QAV. And maybe a silly question but why are the nuts gold plated?
gold does not deteriorate when exposed to the elements. it doesn't corrode or fog up on temperature changes. it conducts electricity like a boss too. so there are obvious benefits to gold-coated stuff. the downside being ... it's gold, and it costs moneythat's why it's an upgrade, the powercube will be priced very competitively so brass is the standard.
Sorry but I still don't get it, why would you want your nuts to conduct electricity? Why not just use polyamide nuts?
Ah ok, now everything makes sense! You didn't mentioned this before. Thanks for clearing this up!
Smart. TBS. People.![]()
btw, through the gold plates we have run 120A for quite a while on 22V without any issues![]()
Fits in the QAV 210 huh? I preordered one. I haven't really been following this thread but will the power cube have all the ESC bells and whistles as far as firmware goes? BLheli with oneshot and Active braking? I can't live without active braking on a mini.
Sorry for my ignorance!
