Been testing out crossfires penetration down low, behind jagged rocks, my own body (behind me) and non-line of sight in difficult environments where signals can bounce around. Holds up very well, strong RSSI the whole time, no failsafe at all so far. Pretty happy with it. Just stock antennas too.

How far is your aircraft from your position when this happens? Buddy of mine drops frames the further out he gets from his position. He claims to get better performance by using a 2.4 relay with his Crossfire, positions the Crossfire module ~6' from his GS.

After discovering sensors on the FRSky X9d and seeing the wealth of radio signal quality data, I set up my second data telemetry page to display ALL of the possible data. RSSI for each of the antennas, LQ for RX and TX, TX power, etc.

I don't think there's really a single value that tells you enough. If you have great signal quality, but the TX has jumped dynamic power up to 2 watts...that may be worse than 10 mw of power with lesser signal quality.

Big announcement today was for a new Crossfire Nano RX. Smallest rx probably you can buy. It’s smaller than the FrSky XM+. Full range, just tiny size

Standard edition for forty includes regular antenna. Special edition is 44.95 includes Immortal-T antenna

Myeh, personaly I was underwhelmed by this release. Dont get me wrong I am a huge Fanboi, but I dont know if we needed another rx right now. But hey if there was a release, someone must have asked for it.

They always hype things. Thats their job. This receiver is amazing though. So tiny, yet from reports, the performance is fantastic.

Does anyone have pics on how they mounted the crossfire mini antenna on a miniquad?

Straight out the back, vertical, split? Any pictures at all

2 zip ties - strap it anywhere. I had the standard antenna on it for a bit and had the active and ground elements coming out the back in the antenna holes on the orange printed piece, but I was getting 70% link quality warnings a couple hundred feet away... So had to go with a full vertical mount. I drilled a couple holes in the printed tpu back piece and strapped it to that. Haven't had a warning since and have gone much, much further than I was before.
