Hi guys, I have a query. If I'm not wrong, the telemetry connection on pins 7 and 8 of the RX is fixed at 57600 baud, whether it's used for Mavlink or bridge etc. If so, it is missing the possibility of adjusting in setup to other speeds like 4800,9600, etc to be able to have different connection options. In my case, I use Pitlab OSD and this autopilot delivers the telemetry in its port which could download me through crossfire but unfortunately the delivery to 9600 and this prevents me from using it. Is there any possibility to vary these bauds in RX crossfire? Thank you

I just got some 2.4ghz gear to go with the crossfire (moving from 1.3ghz). My old placement doesn't work as well and I would like to know how close can I have 2.4ghz gear to the crossfire receiver when trying to get max range. This is going on a large copter so space is very limited unlike a plane.

Odd question. Is it possible to divide the band the CSFR is transmitting on, and have it only use 916-928mhz or 902-915mhz? I'm doing a Pixhawk project with an RFD900 and would like to use half the band for dedicated telemetry. Since both systems are frequency hopping, is there any chance they might play ok together? I'd use 433 for control but it's not allowed in the airspace I'm flying, unfortunately.

With Crossfire you can send the Pixhawk Mavlink data back through the TX link and if you have the Standard Crossfire TX unit not the Mini it has Bluetooth connectivity to a tablet/laptop etc running mission planner.

See the manual http://www.team-blacksheep.com/tbs-crossfire-manual.pdf section starting with:
Real-time telemetry using app linkThe transmitter has a wireless close range telemetry module built-in for easy telemetry distribution to aPC, MAC, tablet or phone. TBS CROSSFIRE supports different modes for different use cases.

Thank you for responding so quickly and with such detail. I’ve not personally tested the range, but a flying buddy had done some testing over the summer and said the range wasn’t very good and the bandwidth was ratchet down quite a bit too. I guess I just need to test it myself. I’d be happy if I could get 5-10km of solid connection. Would be a cool option though, to have a selectable range of freqs. Thanks again for the help.

I've flown crossfire out with my quad with pixhawk telemetry at 10km. It was still bouncing between 100mw and 500mw. I have my phone connected with bluetooth and qgroundcontrol.

Thanks whakahere, that's great news! Revisited this topic w/my flying buddy this a.m. and he'd said he thought there may have been something amiss with the fw he was using on his Crossfire when he was doing the testing, it was 1.5 years ago, so. . . Such great news as it simplifies my entire setup. I'm planning on connecting to a PC and running Mission Planner, hopefully I have the same results. What fw version were you running, do you remember?

Over in the Facebook group, there's mentions of trimming the MicroRX antennas by 7.5mm on each end, and it was apparently suggested by Trappy? Did I miss something?
