Is anyone in here using either the tuned antennas or another type of tx antenna for long range? Been looking at the tuned rx from tbs or even a yagi or something similar for long range.

Mine is completely stock and sometimes says rf low.

I did a walking range test down the street and I would watch the green light on the back go yellow but wouldn’t hear a peep from the Taranis.
I’d love to know a proper way to set it up too

I was wondering, is the “T” style antenna that comes with the TX better? Or is the “Tuned” TX antenna better? I was under the impression that the “Tuned” antenna was an upgrade, but thought I also remember seeing that the TX originally came with that antenna and now they come with the “T” style? And he receivers originally came with long antennas and now come with the short black and red antanna...So which is the better antenna? I ordered a Tuned one for the TX, but not sure which is supposed to be better?

set the taranis rssi warning levels to 0 (both)

    logical switch:
function; v1; v2; AND switch; duration; delay
    1: a<x; rfmd; 2; ; ;
    2: a<x; rlqy; 80; ls1; ; 0.5
    3: a<x; rlqy; 70; ls1; ;0.5s

    special funktions:
    switch; actions; parameters; eable
1: ls2; play sound; YOURSOUNDFILE; enable -> pre warning
2: ls3; play sound; YOURSOUNDFILE; enable -> warning

    what does it mean?:
    - background:
when your xfire is in 150 hz mode (rfmd 2) the lq doesn´t mather!
it only becom interesting when it allready switched to 50hz mode.
rlqy received link quality - this is the most important number to monitor

    - switches explained:
ls1: monitors if you are in 150hz mode or not, activ when your not
ls2: lq is lower than 80% -> time for a pre warning, 0.5 second delay helps to prevent super short drops
    ls3: same as ls2

ls2 and 3 are only activated when ls 1 (rfmd) is activ

    Hi

I have some questions regarding Mavlink with micro TX and RX / Taranis

    - can the set of sensor data available be changed ? I get only what is shown here http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread.php?42097-TBS-CROSSFIRE-Next-Generation-Long-Range-R-C-System&p=813952&viewfull=1#post813952

The FC (Pixhawk) sends without a doubt the full data set that is available under Arduplane

    - how high is the refresh rate typically ? What I get displayed on the Taranis is well below the rate the data is sent. Looks like it is refreshed 1-2 times per second, even when the FC sends data at 5 or 10 Hz.

    - is this maybe related to the micro TX ?

    update : found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bfd2-Nj8JHI
well, latency is quite big in my opinion. Related to the LUA-script ? Look yourself, probably demo mode for testing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rx72zmQDsto
