isn't the 8dbi antenna making a shadow on teh 14dbi??

I take the 8dB of and stick it on the back, all velcro : )

love your super simple setup! is there a thread regarding your tracker gs ?
have all the parts for mine at home but telemetery donīt work on my ezosdīs at the moment ... would love to find out about tracking antennas myself too!

Well it is 5mm thick alumminium welded together to a box (TIG). I'm sure I could habe bought one, but nah..
Inside there is a 5Ah 3S LiPo wowering the whe GS. The balancer port is routed trough the D-SUB connector, so I can charge it without opening.

There is a 5A S-BEC for the servos, witch I can shut off if There isn't enough power left.
There is also a small LCD voltage meter and a beeper inside.
The iPhone mounts diectly on to the box to.

Further I used: Servocity Pan and Tilt, 2.4GHz Lawmate RX, 11dbi patch.

I can't think of anything else, but I'll open her up and make some pics, when i get home.

Hmm... I'm thinking you need to build my GS for me

Well my ground station is for sale, or At least parts of it. I am not realy using it anymore because ATT isn't the best thing for flying in the alps. Plus it's quite heavy. But should work perfectly if you drive to you're flying site. Feel free to pm me if you're interested!
