Great stuff galaxies , could you post more details of your pan and tilt and how you gyro stabilised the camera ?
Really great job... That gyro stabilised cam is brilliant! Really makes it feel more natural to watch.
Shame I don't think that would really work in a plane. Perhaps on a very low rate mode gain it would, but then one has to wonder if it would be worth it. I might have to experiment sometime and see!
Thanks guys!
Here's a few pics of the pan/tilt setup in the cab.
The gyro is a GWS PG-01.
Pan servo is a GWS S-125-1T
Tilt servo is a HK939MG
Exact same servos on the boom camera, the gyro is shared by both tilt servos using a "Y" cable.
The gyro is mounted to the cab floor in front of the camera, gain set about mid point.

In Russia you don't fly plane.... Plane flys you
I love it. Love the work and the gyro-cam really sets it off. I've been driving my GP Blizz for a couple of years. I've never had the spare cam and vTx to mount it up tho. The GP version would be a bugger on gear....too much castor oil and your DF300 body is sahweet.

Thanks galaxies
Great info and pictures
I notice that your tilt servo is directly driving the camera whereas mine uses a linkage, maybe that is where I am going wrong
You just gave me a good reason to keep my blizzard! I was going to sell it. It now I think I will hold a plow for it and plow my driveway from the comfort of my couch.
Here's a video of my first FPV test on my new Blizzard sr. just bashing around my yard. I put my dragonlink on it, and am now remounting the 1280 vtx from being velcroed to the back of the chassis to mounting inside the chassis and hopefully I'll be able to fit the bluebeam ant inside the cab to protect it.
