I plan to FPV the next time in Thailand, the South would be the better place to film, blue water, sand, beaches, etc. The north is always covered in smoke, unless you head to Doi Inthanon, actually that temple half way up would be awesome, it's out of the smoke and very unique, the King has his own helipad there. Just check out the frequencies, you can get into more trouble bringing the wrong Ham Radio into the county than if you tried to sneak a handgun in, seriously. But Doing FPV on the small islands like Phi Phi would be cool, you could cover the whole land mass in 5 minutes.

Don`t ship the batteries inside the glider as they open the box sometimes with a knife to check what`s inside
Aren't you afraid of them packing heavy baggage on top of your carton box? I've considered that by decided to mail my planes instead.

it can happen in the mail too. we plaster the boxes with "fragile" stickers and usually check in last anyway

I ship a plane- and travel with the 2nd plane for paid gigs. I've got a trip coming up soon... I'll try to put some pics/vids together of how I travel.

I'm pretty sure that "." is supposed to be a "," and there is an X missing somewhere

Plenty of mountain surfing here. Check out the back yard. There's a road that leads from Chiang Rai to Phrao that rivals the Tail of the Dragon as far as curves and switchbacks, but right in the middle of it is some GREAT valley surfing.

RFE says that 433mhz UHF is wide open, and I could use 910 all day long if I wanted - but the rig I brought is 5.8GHz.

Unfortunately the weather around here lately hasn't been the best for flying - Pretty windy most of the time and it's the rainy season so it's been rain off and on. Still here for another 10 days though. If I had my big rig the wind would be a non-issue, but a little 22oz swift would get kicked around too much.

Far better is it to dare mighty things, even though checkered by failure; than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much or suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

I wouldn't take a 5.8 rig anywhere if failure means I leave my plane in some country that I don't live in. Be careful though - and bring back some footage.
