    PSU Wiring

Holy cow the cable that came with the PSU looks like I co uld jump start my car with it (Joke) - is it necessary for that guage of wire?

Currently have a USB cable already routed in the plane...will it be sufficient?

we had to ship that one short term because of supply shortages, it's one gauge stronger than the one we ship normally. if it's too thick, send me a mail, we have the standard gauge wire back in stock, replacement is free of charge.

As long as we are on the wiring, I've seen bits and pieces of wiring these up.

Red from the TB-69 Camera should go to PSU?
    All else to EzOSD INPUT

EzOSD Output to VTX except red- red goes to PSU Power.....?

I'm just tired and there's a million different schematics...

no, you basically wire the PSU between OSD and camera, or between OSD and video TX. Here's the rough idea:

    Camera --------------- PSU ---- OSD -------------------------- VTx

    or

    Camera ------------------------- OSD ---- PSU ---------------- VTx

That is assuming you have a 5V Vtx, of course. The PSU is made so that current to one side is 12V, the current to the other side is 5V, regardless of what comes in through the power pins. The EzOSD will just pass through the power.

So the Lawmate 2.4ghz Vtx is powered from the EzOSD then?

That's where the confusion lies - I'd just soon wire the camera to the OSD, and run a cable to the Vtx ...

I'm assuming it's a 5v Vtx, Lawmate, came from Canada....via the UK LOL

The main power for the psu comes from the batteries throught the current sensor. The psu steps that down to 5V. And that goes into the lawmate TX.

Check out the diagramm above. It works.

OK and video runs through it as well then based on teh schematics and pics on team-blacksheep's site...think that's where my confusion also lay..

correct. that greatly simplifies the wiring! the TBS PSU already has a diode on it. We're not amateurs, you know ... you will need to follow RiSCyD's instructions to keep everything powered right, though. Please check his post in the TBS PSU thread here on FPVLab.
