Can anyone point me to the best resource for getting started in setting this up? I have a couple of KVOSDs from witespy but haven't done anything with them yet. Just installed my first naze32 and thought I would give the KVOSD stuff a try but then I heard about this. I was told to skip the KV and use this instead.

The KV thread is still relevant... you just download and install different firmware to the board. check out the first post of the KV thread.

When nothing else out there will suit your needs... design and build it yourself.

MB's video was the one I was going to use to get me through the KV setup. Thanks

If you have a Witespy FTDI adapter. Check the output voltage, as mine was 3.3V with the 0ohm jumper on 5V, I had to jump the 3.3V to get 5V from it (You don't need a resistor just a small gauge wire will do it). Of course you have to remove the resistor from the 5V pads

I had corrupt characters when uploading the fonts/firmware, the Simulate OSD in the GUI did not work as 3.3V was not enough to power it! The real indication was the green status light did not flash when plugged in, once I fixed the voltage it worked fine.

I second MB's video, it's looooong, but he explains everything.

I think you'll get a LOT more users, now that KV MWii osd is dead. You've already put in waypoint navigation and Multiwii 2.4 isn't even out yet!

I would seriously add a Donate button somewhere.
