    All right maiden is done

Flight went really well but my fingers were freezing and numb !!
only problem is when i go WOT, i get ALOT of right thrust and have too weak throw to keep it from turning, i might angle the motor a little or give a little more throw on the elevon.

    max speed was 108 kmh and i got 7 g's !!
i can cruise at 60 kmh at about 8 amps, not bad

My auw is 4.25 lbs, this is with :
i have included links to all my stuff to help if anyone want to get the same stuff.

2x 3000mah lipo, 1 690tvl camera for fpv, 1 gopro with plastic case, RVOSD G5, 1 VTX 2.4ghz, Chainlink LRS, hobbyking ubec, hobbyking 60a esc, turnigy 3536 1400kv motor, 9x6 apc prop, hobbyking metal gear servo,

That motor/prop combo is awsome. I stand behind it. You can run a 10x6 also. I use gruapner folders. Don't try and run 4s hard or you'll burn the motor. If you baby it it will work.

I laminated mine last night...it's starting to look sexy lol. It's down to the point where I either need to use the epp elevons or make some out of balsa. I suppose I'll try the EPP route first. I hope it works, because I'm running out of Laminate and x-tape.

Here's a pic of mine, I followed Keiths lead and put a piece of colored duck tape under the lam. Be careful if you do this because the tape will melt if you put the iron directly on it for too long.

(And yes...I know the cuts are supposed to be rounded...now I know, and knowing is half the battle...GO JOE!)

I gave the EPP elevons a double layer of lamination to see how stiff they turn out. I was not impressed at all, so I bought precut balsa trailing edge stock similar in size. Even though they're heavier, I won't be worrying about floppy elevons anymore.
I had just enough lamination left after this experiment to finish covering the wing and balsa elevons.

I wonder if a 1.5mm carbon rod embedded in the elevons would work to eliminate some of the "floppy" characteristics. Seems as though it would be lighter than balsa elevons.

I think a carbon rod will still flex too much. Maybe a flat carbon strip, 5mm wide.

Ehh, too much work then. I was just thinking about using some stuff I had laying around. I'll probably just end up using the EPP ones for now, they seem to fly pretty decent. Mine is probably only going to go ~70-75mph since I actually have the 3536B which probably only puts out ~400 watts instead of 432 with the 9x6 apc. I bought this motor for a skywalker, but decided to use it on this wing anyway. I really have to watch adding weight to the rear now that the cut is done and the motor mount is in place.

Once I get all of this setup, I'm going to be waiting on something anyway. My rx is stuck in ems limbo thanks to the holidays.

I'll also be waiting on something. I'm only ordering the batteries tomorrow from HK (they're open again tomorrow) but don't know what the shipping delays will be like. I'm thinking of choosing the EMS shipping option, with the hopes of it getting preference over all the other packages lying around waiting to be shipped. I hope my theory is right, otherwise I would be wasting about $50 extra, without gaining much time over regular shipping.
I'm going for 2x 4500mAh. That should keep me airborne for a while!
