    Deep Reaper

The Deep Reaper is a recent addition to the CrashTestHobby product range, and has its origins from their popular Grim Reaper combat wing. The Deep Reaper is also known as the Reaper XL.
The Deep Reaper is 61" with the optional center section added, has a deeper cord than the Grim Reaper (hence the name Deep Reaper), with a wing area of 950 sq.in. This wing is designed to carry FPV gear, and fly long duration. Their current duration record is 72 minutes with FPV gear.

My Deep Reaper will have the following hardware:
    - Turnigy SK3 3530 1460kv motor
    - 40A BlueSeries ESC (might upgrade to 60A if this one doesn't cut it)
    - 2x 4500mAh Nanotech batteries
    - Turnigy MG930 servos
    - EZUHF diversity Rx
    - 1.2GHz 500mW Video Tx
    - Inverted V or Cloverleaf antenna (still deciding which one)
    - DragonOSD

At this stage I've glued the pieces together with hot glue (amazing how well it bonds with EPP!), added the fibreglass spars, and glued in the Formica supports for the motor mount. I've added reinforced tape but it didn't stick very well to the EPP, so I pulled it all off and will rather treat the EPP with spray adhesive first so the tape sticks better.

Hey Lee, amazing looking plane you've built and welcome to the lab. I can't wait for mine to arrive so I can start the build.

Here are the parts that are going on mine:
    - NTM 3536 1400kv (will probably change motors eventually)
    - 60A Opto Proton ESC
    - 2x 4000mAh SkyLipo 3S
    - Hitec HS-645MG Servos
    - CasleCreations 10A ubec
    - RangeLink RX
    - 1.2GHz 300mW or 2.4Ghz 500mW Video Tx
    - PZ0476 and GoPro HD Hero
    - Still undecided on OSD, but may rip the Skylark from my bixler

**Will update this post with pics and additional info when I get started.**

I have the first Grim Reaper. Going to order the XL soon, along with 2 scythes. One scythe for me (small & fast, low flying FPV stunt plane) and one for the kids to learn how to fly with.

I think this motor would perform well on the XL or the standard reaper with a 9x7 prop http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idproduct=8505

Good to see other Reaper owners here! Please add your build photos and gear layouts once you're at that stage. There's not much documentation on this new plane yet so we should share what we have!

Well, I got bored and glued the cores together and added the spars. I still have a long way to go, but all the parts except one servo are here. Man...this thing is HUGE lol.

    (please excuse my mess)
