Today we were flying with 1280 and 5.8g, but we usually fly both on 5.8g. We've flown over 2 miles in close formation using ImmersionRC 600mw 5.8G transmitters and BluBeam antenna (at least for me). Randy is flying is home made dipole on the plane and a biquad on the ground station. I also have a 7 turn helical I use for my longer range 5.8 flying.
More of our fun in formation:
Formation over the Bay:
Randy inverted in his Cularis leading our formation flying on it's final flight before being dismantled for a new FPV rig:
Small fire at the landfill I spotted:
Passing by our ground stations:
From Randy's Skywalker in echelon right formation with me in the lead:
Riding tight:
And more of the tight formation:

Hope some of those go-pros were recording can't wait to see a video !
Working on editing out the keeper clips, and at more than 20gigs a day of footage between all of Team Echelon I can't keep up with all the footage, and it seems each weeks footage is better than the weeks before in many cases! ;-) I hope to have a new video soon.
Here's our 3 ground stations setup and planes before our Sunday flights:

We're gonna keep practicing until this is the type of footage I'm posting:

Oh my god... I had the volume up and was playing that full screen, and at 0:22, involuntarily made a kinda loud yuuuuuugh sound as if I was actually feeling the 6+ Gs in proximity to the grass. Holy shit!
Hey on one of the sky walkers the red one are you flying it with just go pro for vid and live feed ? . Thats what i did my first few flights I read every where people saying use a second cam for flight for better vision and distance perspective ? Whats your view on this Thanks for any input !! Rudy
