Appearance of Cloverleaf antenna tells me that it would work better if it is placed upside down. Is this true?

no it's omnidirectional for a reason. i'm pretty sure the only place it doesn't work well is the null on top

I'd like to make a side-fed version of this on 1280 for my new Reaper XL wing project. Does anyone have a high resolution photo showing how to do this at the feed point?
