hey guys, i think its about time i got a thread to post all my adventures, keep track of where i have been and where i am headed.
found out about FPV with the FPV NY video, by the time i had realized it was an rc plane with a video link i had ordered a Zeph and an IYF44, and a mismach bunch of hardware i quickly thought would do the job. Being brand new to rc of course 1/2 the hardware was completely wrong and by the time i realized spektrum was a bad idea it was too late.
within a few weeks i had my IYF ready for the maiden..and i tried to learn to fly.

by the time i knew how to fly it had bean beat up pretty bad. i still flew it lots and lots (every spare day, 3 or 4 times a week)
when i was supremely confident in my flying skills 6 months later i decided it was time to build the zephyr. not FPV yet i knew not to rush. (and wanted to save up for a fully blown setup)

the maiden went ok, i had cg wrong but no dramas, i just wanted more power.
next thing on the list was a GoPro, this allowed me to practice smooth flying and learn the ins and outs of music selection and video editing, also choosing a good spot to fly from to get sweet videos. came up with some corkers.

eventually i just bit the bullet and got some fatsharks, a lawmate 24 500mw tx and rx, and an 8db patch. i also changed to 36mhz control and tuned the antenna to 4m ish
this allowed me to really get what i wanted for all this time, some serious fun in real FPV!!!! i have enjoyed the original z on 3s and have moved on to a 6s Z, i will update here as my adventure continues.
