    Question RVOSD V Question

For those who know the answer.

I know you can program waypoints using the program however if your plane flies out of RC range, will the RVOSD continue on to the waypoint, or will it return to home?

Im pretty sure its RTH however I was also wondering if this WAS the case, can you program it to continue to follow along the waypoints autonomously even if it DID run out of RC range?

    Like the FY3ZT?

    Thanks

Not trying to be a smartass, but how about going for a bikeride and see what actually happens when you switch off the transmitter?

Edit* i see you're American. You can take the car too.

You are being a smartass so why say your not trying to?

Also why are you comparing a bike ride with a transmitter?

I see your from Amsterdam so maybe this is why, sorry Im not trying to be a smart ass

I take it you don't even know the answer to this question so why waste your time getting your post count up?

Do your smartass self a favor a get out of this thread unless you have something useful to contribute.

We already have enough people in this world to take up the "smartass" role so thanks

Sorry for not being clear enough. What i ment was:

Program waypoints on a road you can travel by bike or car
take your gear out of the plane, and into your car or whatever
record the footage like you normally would when flying fpv
turn off your transmitter (same as flying out of range no?)
See what happens with the OSD-info. (will it follow the waypoints or engage RTH)

About the smartasspart... *shrugs* i was trying to be helpfull, not knowing how sensitive you are.

Still incredibly irrelevant. I don't think I'm the only one that wouldn't understand your "analogy"

Regarding sensitive, more like annoyed of people who have enough time to be a smartass and not write a direct answer which I still haven't received.

I guess your "analogy" will have to do.

The big difference between the Dragon OSD and RVOSD is that DOSD will continue to fly the waypoints when autopilot is engaged. After the last waypoint it will come back home. The autopilot can be triggered by a switch and by the failsave (the failsave then switching AP "ON") when rc contact is lost. In case of DOSD the autopilot function is the same as RTH as home is the last of the waypoints

The RVOSD normally does not have that option. When you are flying waypoints and radio contact is lost (and failsave is triggering RTH) it will come back home immediately. In case of RVOSD the waypoint function and RTH are seperate functions.
I think that it is possible to program your failsave in a way that it will not trigger RTH and it will continue to fly waypoints, but in that way you will not have any safety when something happens with your RC. This is for instance the case when you losse control and you do not have waypoint flying enabled yet. You will then either crash or continue to fly in the last heading depending on the flying mode (fly-by-wire etc.)

    I hope that this helps
