Yep, drilled PVC. Don't make the holes too close or it will fold under the weight on a hard roll. The protector is attached with about 5 zip ties drilled through the roof. The bigger the better as I wanted "black" ties and only had little ones and on a hard roll doing the dirt mount jumps I broke it off, and damaged the Blubeam antenna and the mount connector on the IRC transmitter. It was repairable, but a pain, and a weak point is not using the stronger larger zip ties.

Excellent to know. I have the same TX from a plane that encountered a sudden down burst of gravity. Luckily it landed the right way to save the antenna. How high is the Rx antenna on your ground station?

The Tonka Summit goes to Fort Cubbington

    More fun today:

    Mashin':

Rolled it (check the hood flying high)!:

Made a fort out of my mulberry tree trimmings from a few months back. We've got a nice field but not much to see so I hid this out where only FPVers will find it. I know... I'm a dork... and yes, thats a stock Tonka with some dudes in it. I mean, someone's gotta be out at the cam right? You can see the Summit tracks in this shot showing our visit:
