    loss of a dear friend

this December I lost a dear friend. he was kind of a rad sports guru here in my city. He was good at every sport he started like hang gliding, windsurfing, kiteboarding, skydiving and stand up paddle...

he was 54 and lost his life in a skysurf jump while recording for a sports channel.

    a quick vid about him:

Bummer, sorry to hear that Roberto - 54 is way to young to die!

Great video - it's often our favorite sin that will do us in. I'm sure that after surviving multiple trips to Bagdad, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Bahrain, and counter-drug ops that I'll check out after saying something like "wanna see something kool, watch this".

Was that his wife and kid in the final pic?

Roberto - We always feel sad when someone goes, and I feel bad for his friends and family and hope they are OK. Sorry for your loss as well as for his family!

But to go out doing what you love, in my opinion is the way to go.

Celebrate his life, not his death, I'm sure that's how he'd have wanted it!! MY gramps did - told me to go out and have a drink and then move on - and I followed his wishes! (Except I had 5 or 6 drinks for him
