    help

I can't tell whats going on because everything is in Japanese. Is there a way to change the language to English? If so, please post specific instructions with images of Japanese symbols to navigate to the language screen. Thanks!

How do you even know what you're writing? Just use the keys and we see it fine but it's characters for you?

hey a_marmot, maybe I can help here. Assuming our dvr's are the same power the DVR on. You should see a black screen with some weird red lettering flashing. Press the "M" button and you'll see 3 symbols; a video camera, a wrench/sprocket, and a video reel. Using the up/down arrows select the wrench/sprocket by pressing the play/pause button. This will bring you to a new menu. Select the first option on the new menu by again pressing the play/pause button. This will open the language menu. Again select the first option and press the play/pause button. If you did everything correctly it should be in English! Hope that helps and good luck you'll love this thing

Bliz- Nicely done! Thanks! Any clue how to get this thing to accept a change of date/time permanently?

Haha your guess is as good as mine... I always just upload to a freshly created folder with the date as the file name. Never noticed it didn't take.

Glad I could help with your other prob though.
