I just read this entire build log.
I am impressed! You took it 2 levels past where id be comfortable at, and then you made your own circuit board?! Nice one man.
I just ordered my ZII but im trying to keep it as simple as possible to start. No LRS, no osd, no gps, just basic (quality) components. But this gives me something to look forward to! Thanks for the Log. The progress, and stories behind it make all the work worthwhile. I love a good family story as well. A lil something for everyone here!

Knowing itman496 it borders on obsession. He is way past anything that I can do.. I helped him with the basic building of the plane and cutouts for wires and batteries as well as the motor, but thats it.. everything else is his baby.. I look at this plane and I'm amazed at what its become.. Sure setbacks are frustrating, but he has bounced back and made it even better than before. Now, If he would only find the time to post up those video's he keeps promising.

Speaking of issues, just solved one.

My IMU had issues starting up. It was because of the servos.

5v rail with servos:


And here it is without the servos.



Whoops. lol.

Some filtering is obviously needed.

I still haven't fixed the current sensor, but thankfully dragonlink is finally responding to emails. =)
