That was a rc club in delta, BC (Ridge RC Flyers), This flight was in LOS as per club requirements and a spotter was present. Where are you going to fly? I just fly at the RC club for testing and short flights, trying to find somewhere nice to fly at.

You have to fly with a spotter even for LOS?
My favorite place to fly at the moment is the field at Deer Lake in Burnaby... I'm pretty sure it's a club field (hood's up, maybe) but the last few times i've gone in late season last year, there's been no one present.. so we fly without worry.

As for FPV.. I don't know.. if there's no one at DeerLake, i'd like to fly my FPV maiden out there, but I have a feeling it's going to be busy on the first nice day.

I'm not big on stuffy club rules and such.. I've got my MAAC, but I prefer to just drive into the country with my friends and fly over a random clearing. :|

Ah gotcha. I thought you meant meaning a spotter just for straight LOS flying. :P

Anyways.. here's my Wildcat with her FPV hat on. Until I decide between getting a wing and getting a skywalker, the 'cat will have to do for FPV parkflying.
Hopefully if the weather holds out tomorrow, I'll have a chance to take my maiden fpv flight.

You're welcome there Jim, glad you liked it! I hope that by summer time I should be proficient enough that I can get a lot better footage of some of the other areas around here. Everything from Fort Warden to Hurricane Ridge to Salk Creek, and everything else out here.

Hey guys.. I started a Vancouver user group here on FPVLab.. I'm hoping we can help each other out on our builds and hopefully meet up for some flying this summer... If ever the rain stops.

Discuss favorite flying sites, local hobby shops and other regional topics.
Hope to see yous in there..

Taiping, I got $10 for anyone that can pronounce Tsawwassen on the first attempt LOL

I used to drive through that area to go take the BC ferry over to Nanaimo, very pretty area!! (Very cool ferry terminal - suprised you don't go FPV that!)...

And those in Hope - Wow I "Hope" you get some good video posted- that has to be an FPV paradise up there, where they filmed Rambo-First Blood.
