Cheap! I tried my best to keep manufacturing cost low ... And obviously the customer will benefit from that.

Oh good. I really wanted the 5800duo, but the cost is just so far outside my budget it's laughable. I really would like to avoid a cheap chinese receiver if I can, but I do have to consider that I have a family and a hobby budget to stay within.

I'm starting all over, I'm just going to go with every thing that Tim at Ready Made tells me I need! they are great there, and I feel they will help me out right and I will put me 5.8 a side for now, I'm new at this I know to go to good people like all you and Tim at ready made so I do it right the first time and do not buy a bunch of junk I can not use or need. but if you know some one that has a good used Futaba for sale let me know! but it has to be 7 or more channel or better so I can one day have a good set up for FPV. but I will get there. Right now my back went out and I'm not doing a thing but recuperating in bed. Thank You all for the help! as I have said in the past this is the best place to find good people that know what to do! have a great day!

Heh, and to think; I came to RC and FPV because I couldn't afford the hobby I REALLY wanted due to it's outrageous expense! (Building and operating a family sized steam boat. VERY expensive hobby for a VERY elite group of people.)

What are you using on 5.8? I've got a couple IRC 600mW with Clovers and a 12.5db helical I've yet to test. (too damp lately for 5.8)

That's the beauty of 5.8... He could use a video link and a relay both on 5.8 and still have room for 4 others to fly 5.8 channels... Technically more. :-) (but remains to be seen too. ;-)

    Try that on 1280.

Not only that sentry can run 5.8ghz on a antenna tracker. Stick a tuned 8 turn helical (best for efficiency) and not only can you fly distance but low near objects too. Linear will get further distance with a patch but circular lets you go low at the same time. The only thing I love about 5.8ghz is the distance the signal can travel. It works two ways. While the distance is short for flight vtx it is also short for other things transmitting on the band. So getting height really cuts all noise when over cities that use wifi on 5.8ghz. I find getting about 100 - 150 meters and the noise is all gone.
