    TBS Ritewing Zephyr transport

    Hi,
I see the video in New York, Istambul but how do you transport your Zephyr by plane (big one.), do you have a (very) big case/box ?

    (I speak for air travel)

Since they are out of pocket prepping for another epic video at an undisclosed location (heh heh heh) I'll try to help here. They use a simple cardboard box. You can make your own, or you can go "upmarket" a bit and use another material. Just remem that the heavier the box is the more fees you may incur for air travel. I plan on building a box for my wings that are shippable. Hand-carry to a location (to ensure that I have my gear when needed) and then shipping it home so I can travel easy.

For local travel - I pop my wing into my car(s). The 60" BARELY fits inside my Mini-Cooper but it does fit in all of my cars, w/ the exception that I can't have someone in the passenger seat when I carry the wing.

no need to remove the winglets. Put it in a cardboard box, fill the box up with old newspapers and stuff. Works well, no damage so far.

perhaps we should ask CK to stock a flat-pack version as the guy has a very good eye when it comes to cardboard boxes

I've seen him clean mud off of the wheelskirts with a toothbrush and a dampened pink (!) cloth, who's to say he's gay?

Couldn't you add a few more lipo's and fly it along side the airplane?

It might help to have a window seat.
