The new GoPro Accessory Port Video Adapter seems to be interesting.
Just a few questions:
Do you have any more info on this?
Can I run the gopro without battery (to save weight) and just power directly from a 5v bec?
Will the output image look like the normal AV jack output?
What are the rest of the connectors for?

Pin 4 (off the board, not connected to JR cable) controls the mode of the camera. Connecting it briefly with pin 1 is the same as pushing the power button. If you set the camera to 1 button record, you can remotely trigger recording. The other pins are reserved for future use.What are the rest of the connectors for?

Interesting. I have a GoPro that I hooked up something wrong and messed up the live output. Do you think the output would work with this? Everything else works besides video out.

There's not a direct connection between the standard video output and the one on this adapter, but there is only 150 ohms when checking between the two, which is probably just some protective circuitry (or it's buffered so you can have video connections to both...make sense since it's a 75 Ohm video connection...)
If it will work may also depend on why it stopped working on your other output, and if it was electrical damage...how deep the damage occurred.
I fried it trying to get one of those cheap best price OSDs to work. It was suggested to put resistors in various places (in the video line or between the video and ground I believe). I think I accidentally touched the video to the power but I can't remember. I can get audio out of it now but no video. Everything else seems to work and even the HD output works.
It's really hard to say if the adapter will work or not. If you buy it from me and it still doesn't work, you can return it for a refund of the price of the adapter.
Cool. That is what I call customer service. I just ordered one, hopefully it will work.
As this port is working? Does it in flight mode switch of the camera and turn on / off record?
