    Hello from Vancouver, BC, Canada

    Hi guys.

I've been flying RC planes for about 2 years. It all started with a HobbyZone RTF Super Cub LP.
Since then, I bought a Spektrum, DX6i 2.4ghz transmitter/receiver system, and collected a few other aircraft like the E-flite Apprentice, T-28D Trojan, UMX Beast, CAP 232, U-Can-Do-3D, HK Flying Shark Kit, and the EPP FPV...which I'm building right now. I just started my FPV system with a 1.2ghz 1000mW Lawmate Transmitter and Receiver. I also bought an EZOSD and the EZ Tracker antenna system. I just need to hook it all up and get it all working! I've also purchased a JR X9303, 9 channel transmitter and 2 receivers. I needed more than 6 channels for the FPV. I also bought the 10" Haier LCD Monitor for viewing FPV. I'm interested in the Fatshark goggles, but I'll wait to see how the Lawmate/JR/Haier FPV system works first.

Welcome! - always nice to see a fellow Canuck, especially from my place of origin (Fraser Valley)

Your story is similar to mine, all started with a RTF Super Cub back in June '10, now my collection consist's of the following, roughly in order of purchase:
    • Still have original Super Cub
    • 1/2 dozen various keychain & thumb cams
    • Enough spare parts for said Super Cub to build another one, have floats, brushless motor & esc waiting to go on it.
    • Night Vapor (from Santa!)
    • Home made big foamy aerial pohtography/video ship with extra wing
    • 1 flip minoHD 720p (on sale for $60!)
    • 1 Gopro
    • Thunder AC6 charger
    • 1 Kodak 720p 60fps Zi8 (on sale for $70!)
    • RMRC 1.2 Vtx & Vrx with Blu Beam coverleaf & SPW antennas
    • 8" Haier LCD
    • Eagletree Eagle eyes ground station with diversity
    • 10" Haier LCD
    • Blade tandem rescue heli
    • Stryker
    • Eagletree data logger with OSD pro and GPS
    • 1 Contour 1080HD
    • Easy Star - (still in box, also brushless motor and esc ready to go into it)
    • Another 80" wing and tail feathers for another big AP ship (fuse yet to build)
    • 2 Watt Meters
    • Another Gopro (one should always have spares)
    • Gaui 330X-s
    • 1/2 the components needed for a Witespy Quad (that spare thing again)
    • 2 plastic storage drawer units full of you-name-it spare parts
    • Lots of Lipos (too lazy to go count them)

Great group of FPV'ers here - lots of knowledge and experience to tap into!

    Hello Glenstr,

Are you a club member? If you are, what club do you fly with?
I'm the Club Secretary, and an "A" Wings Pilot, with the Burnaby Lake "Hoods Up" Flyers.

    Thanks, Wildman

Sorry, should have been clearer, Fraser Valley is where I am from, I am now in northern Alberta..

Was just down in the valley a week ago though, when my dad's health took a turn for the worse. Nice to see the leaves just starting to turn when ours are all gone though.
