Why does Lifter fly mode 3???
Why does Lifter fly mode 3???
How many engineers does it take to change a light bulb?
3. One to hold the light bulb and two to turn the ladder.
Cause when I started with planks everyone flew mode 1, no one bothered to mention that there was another "mode" not that I would have understood it anyway.
So when helis started to interest me i discovered that mode 2 was the way to go with the cyclics all on the one stick - well I couldn't get the hang of that and mode 1
wasn't working for me either - so I gave it away (Helis) - then along came multirotors.
I was reading on the MK forum that anybody that started off with mode 1 should give mode 3 a go for multirotors, well I had a DWocto 8 sitting there so I changed the JR over
to M3 and into it - a few initial bumps and bounces and I haven't looked back.
If I had my time over again and I new what I know now, I would go mode 2.
Dragged the Raptor 50 out a few days back and managed to get a full tank through it just hovering, could barely get it off the ground before let alone hover it for any length of time.
Guess I am just Kack handed as I can't handle a golf / cricket bat either.
Thanks for the question - never really thought about it before.
Cheers

I Fly Mode 3
LOL that is exactly how I lost my first plane. Didn't know how to read the ET radar arrow. It was 2km out and I had no orientation. I couldnt make out anything with those crappy RCV922 cameras, off it went behind a hill..static. Luckily I do all my flying on private farm land, adjacent neighbors found it around 6km from where we thought it would be. Was written off however the gear was fine even after 2 weeks in melbourne weather.
I currently use an ImmersionRC Duo5800 v2. Will buying two Uno5800 and using an external diversity solution improve my range?
That's due to the screen clutter, there's so much nonsense on the screen that you get confused as to what symbol actually tells you which way is home. Could I interest you in a easy to read and quick to install OSD that's actually tailored to the FPV pilot's needs perhaps?
Purveyor of the FPV secret sauce at ImmersionRC
Well now that I know stuff about fpv I realise I should have gone ez.
Problem is this system has taken so long to obtain because I'm doing year 12 and don't have much money or time.
Maybe if I could find somebody willing to buy it, but its quite abit of trouble at the moment.
Next holidays I think I might. Love your work sanders.
Elf.
You already have. My Ez gear is sitting on your repair bench somewhere(OSD/CS/D-RX - No i2c info)
This has me back to using your old favorite and mine! ET OSD Pro! lol
I don't mind it 'too' much be honest, ET was the first setup I ever used and got the hang of it pretty quick. However I do prefer the ease of just pluggin in the zeph(s) with the ezOSD and throwing the bastard. Trying to build a Cularis at the moment with full ET/L1D etc and its near impossible.
If an FPV aircraft falls in the woods but no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Alrighty. You have left enough 'hints' in various threads and posts here regarding new and upcoming IRC products that I have decided to freeze my big purchases for the time being. Since I have also decided to go all IRC for my equipment, waiting is worth it.
However, the side effect of waiting is that the wife will notice that my storage space is no longer growing. This will cause her to start using my storage space. Soon, all kinds of useless junk will be mingled among good IRC stuff. This will make my IRC equipment sad. Sad IRC equipment is a bad thing.
How long will I have to endure this torture?
