I am interested in the Skylark OSD converter they have for $28 on their site and also a suitable lightweight GPS. I am looking to use it with the GPS alone to send a position signal for my AAT tracker. I would use it for a very low power transmitter on a small, light plane, but with antenna tracking and a high-gain helical receiver antenna.
    Thanks

I'm interested in that module too, rbcodell, I can't seem to find it for sale on their site though, got a link?

I'd also be interested in the Skylark Headtracker. I want the Bluetooth adapter too as soon as the Android app is out.

I was on the Skylark site last night and saw it for sale there for $28. I was trying to get it in the USA though. They said it would connect directly to the GPS whether or not you used the OSD board.

Yes, it was there last night, but not today. Maybe they ran out or there was a problem with it? I got a reply from them last night, and they didn't mention any problems. Maybe its worth a direct comment in their forum or a personal email?

I just found it, it's not listed on their store but I found it through some other related links;http://www.skylarkfpv.com/store/inde...&product_id=84

Ugh I'd buy that module, a GPS module, and the headtracker right now if RMRC had it. I don't wanna wait for it from China.

You might want to check out the BEVRC web site for their antenna tracker. It looks virtually identical to the Skylark unit. The 10 Hz GPS in $40 and the modem for the audio downlink is TeleFlyOSD. It doesn't require a seperate OSD, and actually has a built in OSD in terms of a stopwatch, gps coordinates and a direction arrow. I sent an email to alishimo asking if their setup would work with the Skylark unit (I presume that's what you have).

Here is another thought. I am in Salt Lake and you are in Denver. If we make one order between us, and its enough money (last time I checked it was $250) he shipped it for free using DHL and I got it in a couple of days, with a 5% discount. If you want, I could get the order and then mail it to you from SLC. Just a thought.

Yet another idea: airplane catapult with bungee rope. Something like this one: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33639

    OPTICALLY CLEAR PLASTIC

I've though it would be nice to have something like this before, though.
We line the wire shelves at work with a plastic sheet that has a peel away opaque film on either side. the pastic is about 1mm thick and flexible, can be bent permanently without memory, and is as optically clear as any plastic I have ever seen. Absolutely no distorsions, streaks, waves, etc. Perfect. The sheet is about 2'x3'.

I was not going to make a canopy out of it per se, but as a lens protector is is outstanding. you could just swap out a scratched piece with a new one for pennies, cuts with scissors... what more could you ask for.
