I just tested my new PZ0420for the first time and I have to say it looks fantastic.
My only issue is that I'm not able to get into the OSD. Is there any trick to it? Is it just the one wire going from the camera to the keypad board (6 pin wire for the keypad)?
    Dear Mr Follies,

Please re-plug the 6 pin wire as the picture shows. Our customer service has received your email and they will follow up. Any other question please feel free to share it here.

Make sure you hold the osd menu board from the edges. If the pins on the back are shorted out against your hand, the buttons won't work sometimes.

Though I'd post up a video of a camera I just tried out and ended up really liking. It's this 650TVL Mini Effio-E DSP SONY CCD:

    http://www.securitycamera2000.com/pr...amera-MIC.html

This cam got my attention because it's a 650 Effio which I've seen good videos from. What attracted me mostly was the metal case, but it also has a 3.6mm lens, and is only $47! There's no OSD control, but it looks like there's a place on the board for a plug to be soldered, no idea if it'd work or not though. The stock settings are great though. Good colors, good light handling, and really crisp image. Here's a vid in bright sun, about 1pm:

I don't know how it performs in low-light or at night yet, as you can see at the end I crashed on the mountain side, at about 13k feet! I ended up losing the camera because by the time I found the plane a thunderstorm was moving in. It started hailing and I fear lightning so I had to grab the plane and abandon the search! I've already ordered another one so I will definitely be doing more testing.

I think this must have been my problem, tried again the other night and it all worked as advertised.
Thanks H0tr0d and thanks SC2000 for the quick response from customer service....

    Dear Vitamin J,

Thanks for sharing your experience again here.

That camera is without OSD contol. If you want an OSD menu camera, maybe you can take a consideration of below one:

Effio-E DSP SONY CCD Color Mini Camera Multilingual OSD 2.8mm Lens

Does it come with the servos, and can you provide info on the servo brand/specs?
Will it be possible to mount an open board cam (PZ0420) on it with stand-offs? (My guess is it's possible)
Is the pan mechanism supported or is it only the servo shaft which holds it together? (possible failure point)
