Really unfortunate that FEMA came in and started flexing their muscles... There's a TFR in place, but there's still plenty of places where SUAS could be a huge help!

Thanks for starting a new thread Derrick, that last one was getting pretty obese!

I'm having a house party this saturday (9/21) in Colorado Springs, PM me if you're in the area and want to stop by! I had a blast flying with Hans this week, what a character! I got inspired to start my new build, a carbon hex frame that will be using 11" props with combined 3000 watts... Shoud be a real beast! Hoping to get it setup with a brushless gimbal that can be "flown" separately by a passenger. I hit a roadblock last night, because my RMRC CC3D board isn't recognizing several channel inputs from my rx... It can never be easy!

    Hey Derrick,
Thanks for starting the new thread for Colorado.
Man we have been getting hammered up here in Boulder with all the water. Here is a video I made just driving around town do safety checks for the HA.

I didn't show any personal damages to people homes. The news media does a great job showing there losses kind of like a sick reality show.

    As for the TFR......
Respect it and don't be stupid.

My apologies if I sound like a bitch tonight,
    but, I'm really tired.
The guys are working really hard to get the sanitation and storm sewers working for the COB. Its a mess.
    As Chicken Sashimi says,
    Keep calm with goggles on.

The flood was not super fun ! I live in Denver and work at Longmont about 2.5 blocks away from St. Vrain River off Sunset. It was just a chaos to leave town on Thursday of last week.

That is some crazy footage. My buddy lives up Coal Creek Canyon and his entire road got destroyed. I am planning on helping people out on Saturday and found this link if anyone is interested. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=sharing&pli=1

Planning on flying on Friday and Sunday. I will probably have my 400q and tricopter flying. Anyone know of a good location around Denver?

Just keep the TFR (temporary flight restriction) in mind. Wouldn't be surprised if you get asked to stop. Its nice to want to help using FPV as a tool for good, but honestly the guys doing the rescue and repair work will want people to stay out of their way.

I am not keen on flying close to the city... There are a few spots along the hogback that are nice if you are willing to head a little west.
When nothing else out there will suit your needs... design and build it yourself.
