For what part, I would say no to the elevons, u get a starter tear on the edge and it will not stop until your elevon comes off lol

That being said I used packing tape on my elevons for 2 flights, but I put that new extreme tape on it now (they sell extreme packing tape at home depot)

Yes that's the stuff, its way more tough than standard packing tape, it resists sun and does not tear easy compared to packing tape.
