    Sanders',

do you have a diagram and Picture for hooking up the RSSI between the
    EzOSD and the EzUHF?

I can't seem to find a clear picture of it? Also, are all wires come with the EzUHF
for connection? My EzOSD came with a extention and I don't use it.

    Nice! Thanks for sharing.

Truly a powerhouse LRS, you guys at IRC get a pat on the back from me.

    Cheers, Kev.

I want to use my EZUHF together with the DragonOSD, but I'm not sure if the RSSI from the EZUHF can be read/displayed on the DragonOSD. Sander, can you tell me if this is possible or not?
I've done my share of searching but can't find a definite answer on it.

To answer my own question... after more searching on the Dark Side (RCGroups) I see that it is not supported. I read something about an option called an RSSI needle although I don't understand how it works. More searching coming up...

I was working on something to match EZUHF with analog voltage input OSDs, itīs pretty simple and light.
But now... my DOSD is crashed and Santa sent me a new EZOSD... so, I donīt have the need anymore.

I can make a couple of boards if there is some demand and IRC is OK with it.

RSSI needle or Link Quality needle is an PPM signal output of the EzUHF RX to indicate either the RSSI level or the Link quality.

The PPM (needle) signal is almost equal to a servos PPM, although my findings show some differences. Asked for some clarification http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread....HF-RSSI-Output but got no answer so far.

I made a small device using an AVR controller and simple R2R ADC to convert the PPM signal into nice 0-5V, buffered by an LMV358 rail-to-rail opamp. The board feeds a Remzibi OSD.

Can you give a bit more info on this solution? Size of the board, how much you'll ask for one, etc. (Same for your solution, Mictronics, if possible)
I'm wondering if RSSI is really necessary for someone who's not trying to do a record distance. As long as my video is okay, the EZUHF link should be okay too, right? I'm using CP antennas, not super long-range LP antennas.

itīs small, less than 5 grams for sure. one chip solution. 15 levels only. 0-3.1 volts output.
they go almost for free, thatīs not to worry... LOL.
iīd say the signal quality is the way to go. I guess interference in your channel increases RSSI but make the signal less usable.

on another subject... this is the first time I do this math ( iīm a digital guy, LOL )....
range test mode 20 mW, full power 600 mW, I should expect aprox 5.5 times the range from one to the other?
