    EzUHF help/questions topic

Not sure if this would be the place to create the topic of this should belong to the RC TECH forum ? Just move if needed.

So my question is about the cable that links my Futaba to the EzUHF tx...what kind of cable is this? Is it possible to find the same cable with a 90 degree angle at the end where it plugs into the uhf tx ?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoyed every minute of it

A question about the EzUHF 8ch RX LED. Can someone explain the behavior?

Today, when I did a verification for servo travel etc. I noticed that the LED on the EzUHF 8ch RX is flashing in some (strange?) way.

When I power up the plane the RX LED goes off immediately, then slowly brightness increases and after 30-45 seconds the LED goes off and the cycle starts again.

The RX is running in 433-434MHz band, firmware is latest v1.20. TX and RX are close to each other on the desk.

LED pulsates with about 1 second interval, that's normal and shows it is working well. If yours shows a different behaviour I'd appreciate seeing a video.

At 00:35 I switch OFF the TX and seconds later back ON.

All audible servo moves are intended.

It looks like it is not properly bound to the EzUHF transmitter. Also, make sure both the EzUHF Tx and the Rx are running the same firmware this is REQUIRED, you can't mix and match different firmware on the Tx and Rx.

Sander, I updated both TX and RX with firmware files from this ZIP: http://www.immersionrc.com/downloads...ware_v1.20.zip

    TX: EzUHFFirmware_Tx500.fw
    RX: EzUHFFirmware_Rx8ch.fw

The following video shows binding procedure and LED behavior.

I don't hear the EzUHF Tx beeping, the EZUHF Tx needs to be in bind mode (flick power mode switch towards the antenna, press button and keep pressed, turn radio on), it will beep at about 1 second intervals.

    EzUHF bind procedure:

    EzUHF Tx

    1) Connect antenna to RF output
    2) Connect EzUHF to radio, PPM and power
    3) Set power mode switch to low power (points towards antenna)
    4) Press push button and keep pressed
    5) Turn radio on
    6) Tx should now start beeping indicating bind mode
    7) Leave running and place on desk

    EzUHF Rx

    8) Connect antenna(s) to RF input
    9) Power up Rx
    10) Push bind button within 10 seconds
    11) Rx LED will flash 3 times after lock is made
    12) When LED on Rx starts pulsating bind was successful
    13) Turn off Rx
    14) Turn off Tx (in ***THIS*** order)
    15) Turn on Tx
    16) Turn in Rx
    17) Verify proper bind, Rx LED should be pulsating servos respond to stick input

I know you don't hear the beeping but it's there. I tried a second video using the Gopro but even there I can not hear the beeping.

What I wonder, if binding wouldn't be successful, does the servos will respond to the TX?

Apart from the LED everything seems to work fine. I already did a few LOS flights and there was no problem. They were before I noticed the LED behavior.

Btw, in the second video you can see the RX LED flashes three times.
