Thread: GPS problem?

  1. #1

    GPS problem?

When I pull up into a near vertical fast climb then level out, the gps reading of the altitude becomes wrong and stays wrong until I land the plane and restart the log. It's annoying to fly around 100 feet off the ground while the osd reports -23 feet for example. Why doesn't it re lock and display the correct altitude after I level out. Better yet, why doesn't it just stay locked during the climb? This only happens during a quick steep climb.

anyone else have this problem happen to them?

What OSD do you use? Also what GPS comes standard with that OSD?? We will also need to see the equipment location (Pics are best) on the plane.

Try this ---- do a full throttle run without the climb and see how the GPS responds.

ok, I did a full throttle run and the gps held true. Moderate climb doesn't cause a problem, only the max performance climb.
