    Are Hobbywing ESCs Any Good?

Anyone tried the Hobbywing Platinum ESCs? I would like to get maybe this 40A to try for my Skywalker:

I know there are better out there, but I have had good luck with Turnigy Plush and these are supposedly rebranded or of the same manufacture.

Actually, anyone have a 40-60A Turnigy plush they want to sell? I need one for the SkyWalker...

I am using a 30amp Hobbywing ESC on my Sky Surfer and it is great. I also have a 18a and a 40a Hobbywing ESC in two other planes and have never had any problems.

Its funny because the only ESCs I have ever had a problem with were my most expensive Castle Creations, lol.

+1 for hobbywing though, quality product.

Any hobbypartz.com is awesome, so that never hurts either.

I got some more of the TPro MG90s servos too. I have 4 and they seem pretty good. And they are MG, so tougher.

I did a bench test for re-centering, and they were better than HS82MGs. 2 were really good, 2 were less good, but still better. I wish I though to sook for stall-current draw.

Yeah I use those Tpro 9grams in my little speed Deamons and I use the Tpro 5grams in my little foamies. Pretty much the same thing as the HXT900s HK sells.

Yes, I like the 9gs, but the MG90s is the metal geared version. Have you tried them? They seem pretty good so far. I put them on my Stryker for the real test.

As far as I know the Hobbywing pentium and turnigy plush are exactly the same esc.

Yea i agree with NDw - i use a Hobbywing Pentium 80 ESC, my Turnigy 60 also worked fine.
My programming card works on both & the internals look VERY similar.
