Well , goggles have been opened again and Trinity has launched ,

Works great straight out of the box with a pan/tilt mount, smooth motion and can see no error in centering, beautiful
First thing noticed is the extended range , yes yes yes , 180 pan servo now travels past 180 and i can see behind to about 40deg past wing tip.

looks like the auto pause is off by default , might turn it back on as i liked the feature , easy to dissable when your lining up to fly through goal posts or obstacles

Did the experiment that Greg did in the video of his where you put the goggles on their side and tilt movement becomes pan motion, love it !!!

Thats as far as ive got to report yet, will have to rewire plane to support 5v camera which Greg set up on a pan/tilt/roll for me.
Then i can test the 3 axis properly.

    THIS TRINITY IS THE BOM

    Cheers
    Patrick

Edit , forgot to mention im using a turnigy 9x radio with a frsky module in it.

    Quick video

Just a quick video showing the stock setting for extended range effect.
Please excuse the messy table and aussie accent

Yes i am mate , just havent got to it yet.
Greg sent me a pan/tilt/roll mount with the new 600tvl camera i got of him so it would be easy to test it all out .
But my plane /osd is set up for 12v not 5v so i have to do some rewiring.
Will get there as soon as i get a chance.
Recording my flights so you'll get to see how it looks with roll as well.

    Cheers

Well had my first flight with the Trinity headtracker today and cant say that I'm disappointed , its brilliant.
Normally in a flight i have to re-centre the old headtracker maybe twice if its off a bit.
Today didn't have to do it once and the extra movement is unreal.
It feels locked in all the time , never off at all.

Now in the vid below , its only on a pan/tilt mount still but you can really notice the difference , well at least i can.
Also included is a brown pants moment as this receiver has lost it on 2 occasions on me now , so its getting binned and my old one (which has given me no trouble) put back in.
I swapped it last week because the new one(frsky v8fr2) was supposed to be better than the frsky v8fr i had in it before, apparently not.

I hope to have the plane re-wired for the 5v 600tvl camera and pan/tilt/roll for next weekend and really take advantage of all its capabilities.

    Cheers

Any chance of getting a trinity module and a prototype CCD killer with pan/tilt/roll? Looks like the 600TVL on RMRC only has pan and tilt. I'd love to drop that onto my glider!
