    Footage needed for TV commercial

    Hello,

Apologies for the intrusion. I'm a first time poster here, and I hope I've got the right forum.

I’m a television commercial producer from Toronto. I’m searching for footage that can be used in an upcoming TV commercial. For competitive reasons, I have to keep the client’s name confidential for now. But if we use your footage you’ll know who it’s for, and you will be compensated.

We’re looking for aerial footage of backyards and neighborhoods. Nothing too fancy, nothing too daredevil – no mountains and canyons or dense urban flyovers. Just regular, familiar sights, shot from the unique airborne vantage point – back yards, pools, schools, parks, baseball diamonds, basketball courts. If there are people in the footage, and they are recognizable, we will need a release form.

We'll need a bunch of clips about 2 or 3 seconds long. Ideally, we’d like summertime footage, as clean as possible in HD resolution. We won’t be able to use it if it has instrument readouts on the screen. However, if a piece of your rig is visible in a corner, we may still be able to work with it.

If you’re interested in participating, please send a link to your footage to me at the following email:
    live.to.fly.fpv@gmail.com
Our team will select the footage that works best for us and we’ll get back to you with a price and terms.

Thanks for looking and I look forward to hearing from you.

when you say "familiar", are you talking TO specific? I can do nice slow smooth HD flyovers of neighborhoods, just not in TO..

No, this could be anywhere. In fact, the more generic, the better. We wouldn't want any recognizable landmarks (i.e.: CN Tower, etc...).

By "familiar" I mean it could be anyone's neighborhood.

Ok, that's doable, but what's your timeline? I mean "summer" footage is going to pretty hard, at least where I live..

    Timeline, predictably, is asap.

I was thinking we'd be looking at footage that already exists in people's personal archives, rather than commissioning new footage.

Does it hurt for the footage to have the fisheye / wide angle look the go pro camera does?
    Also what DPI?

all I have in archives is a short flyover of two pricey waterfront homes in a semi rural setting (although you can't tell that when right over them), but it's HD and pretty smooth..

I would just say send whatever you have, and let us take a look at it.

Fisheye/wide angle could work just fine. DPI is flexible - if your footage is 720P, it could fill the screen. If it's lower res, we could potentially use it in a mosaic.
