    The bird in question:

I'm working on my first FPV setup, I've got the electronics to build a new plane from old parts (hmm weird)...

Anyways, all I need to buy now are the FPV parts so I should be able to start very shortly.

I just need to refine the list so to speak as in what batteries to buy for the Vtx and Vrx.

I'm building a simple airplane with a high wing, a high angled v-tail and a polyhedral, fiberglassed wing etc...

    My first training FPV plane

Did some soldering and such, fun fun fun

Building this plane tomorrow, it will be kinda big at least 1.5m I'm guessing.

I wish I had bought a folding propeller, the airfoil is a glider airfoil so I'd like to be able to just cruise around.

What do you guys think of my antenna placement?

I've been talking to Crash and he suggested a single battery setup for everything, I like that idea, saves me money and saves some setup time.

The bird won't be exactly like this (as far as the actual fuse formers) but I will cut out the outline and use that for my fuselage shape.

I'm planning on using Dollar Tree Foam board to make the fuse with a sanded pink nose cone, then I will glass the entire fuse twice.

Same with the main wings, it'll be a tough but sweet looking bird. Super stable too, light polyhedral wings, it'll be nice, can't wait for the FPV gear (gotta buy it still later when I get some money)

So I am like 95% done (flyable) its bigger than I expected almost 6ft span.

It's a glider looking bird (if photobucket would take my damn pics)

Maiden tomorrow with my HD Bloggie as test payload/test view (too bad transmission wont be hd )

    Picture!!!!

    Si senior,

I wasn't entirely pleased with it's flight performance, I was only able to keep it flying well when the cg was really really far forward, like 1 inch from the Leading Edge of the wing.

But it flew non-the less, I have great footage
I'll post it soon once I upload them, and more pictures, I'm redesigning the body/tail feathers, the V-tail control isn't good enough, so I'm going with a conventional x-tail system.

I crashed it after an almost 30min flight (yeah it doesn't have vertical climb but it can fly for what seems like forever (gliding mostly)
