I recently bought one of these cams that has the IR filter installed, Took it for a fly Sunday (in 15-25knots of wind....) and here is the result:

Needs a bit of fine tuning but otherwise I'm happy!

looks like your camera has the IR filter already installed. Little changed w/ the lens.

This is what mine looks like:

    .
I have to say, your vid looks MUCH better than mine. Your greens look perfect where as mine have a bluish tinge to them. The second lens I tried seemed to correct some of this though. I also have to move the Saturation up to max if I want the greens to look good.

I'm curious, did yours come with just a single sheet of glass added to the sensor(ie just the IR filter)? Naturally I pulled mine apart for a look when I received it and I found that mine has three layers added on top of it's sensor - 1 blue which I assume is the IR filter and 2 clear layers. I see from some of the pics people have taken that there is only the IR filter installed. I wonder if the other 2 layers are even needed?

Have you changed any other settings besides the white balance and saturation?

Roberto, When changing to AWB remember you MUST press the menu button to 'save' the white balance - try pointing it at different things out in the sun while saving it and see how it goes. If I set mine inside it looks similar to your video when outside.

Will try that. And also gonna try several different lenses I have here, one of them must have an IR filter inside...

To me it just looks like a chunk of blue glass.

I suppose it's possible they are installing different filters and I just got lucky.

I think my settings are exactly as in this vid as I havn't adjusted them in ages.

I didn't save any changes I made here

thanks for the pic, It's a bit hard to see but can you tell if there are multiple layers in there or does it look like a single 1-2mm thick sheet? Mine with the three layers is so thick that the glass is actually touching the the inside of the case.
