Depending onhow fast you want the info, I got the TBS69 and the SC2000 with the IR filter. I believe that based on this thread they made the decision to change the filter btw.

I can record side by side, i.e. SCPixim, TBS, ScSony, ScSony low-light, GoPro, keychain #16. ALL: the mentioned cameras at the same time.

It'll take until the end of next week for the setup.

I base my decisions not on opinion but data, stuff I can verify for myself. If you can wait for that little while, this is the offer I can make.
guys, I got some unexpected work to do and will be overseas until next week Monday, you will have to wait a little longer, sorry about that.

Is there a source of the IR cut filters to backfit 1/3 inch CCD cameras? I have several cameras without the filters and would like to try them out if they are not too hard to get or too expensive. I saw a Chinese manufacturer selling them, but it looks only like an OEM supplier, not for small hobbyests like us.

    Hi,
I'm not aware of one. The guys from SC2000 ship them already installed. When you had a camera without filter, they would ship you one plus a little bit of glue to apply it. It's not much more than a thin piece of special foil.
So far, SC2000 has always been very helpful, drop them an email, I'm pretty sure you will get an answer.

...just came back, gonna set the cam-comparison up soon. Sorry for the delay, guys.

I am looking into getting a stock of the square blue IR cut filters from a supplier in China. I have to buy 100 of them. I will make them available to the FPVLAB community, hopefully if all goes well for about $2 each. I think these would be a boon to lots of cameras out there lacking adequate IR filters. Let me know please if there is interest because I don't want to be stuck with 100 of them otherwise.

    Not sure,
but going through all the China-Trouble, waiting, delivery, customs, etc. for a two dollar item minus margin that gives you a profit of max 100dollars? Why not just buy another Cam with IR-Cut-Filter and use yours for night operations?

    Dio:
Thanks for the advice, but I am an experimenter at heart, and have been fiddling with the problem of color correction with some of these cameras. I have a large selection of cameras and wanted to see if I could improve their performance. I love the experimental aspects of this niche hobby as much or more than the actual flying. I've had a lot of positive response on the other RC blog site.

Also, I think its a good idea to share experiences and hardware among the FPV community. I have been greatly impressed by some of the smart, industrious people on this site, including IBCrazy, Mictronics, and Old Man Mike, and many others too. I don't have the smarts they do, but I thought I could contribute by getting some of these inexpensive filters for others to try at a very low cost, just enough to cover my expense and trouble. Recently I sold four SWR meters designed by IBCrazy to some FPVers at about my cost just to share with the audience.

Hi guys, today I stepped into this forum and it answered to my frustration from last autumn..........Seems that I received the version of SC2000 Pixim without IR filter, since I ordered on 6th of october 2011........
Now I will wrote an email to SC2000 also to ask kindly for they to send me an IR filter.........
I suffer from same problem, green grass is not green, but verry dull outside. Inside, the coluours are better though...
Keep up the good work ........and thank you all....
If takeoff is supposed to be optional, landing is mandatory..........

    Getting IR cut filters

I am getting in a batch of the blue glass IR cut filters (650 nm, 0.7 mm thick, about 8 mm square) in a few days. I will sell them for $3 each or 4 for $10 shipped in USA for the FPVLAB people.

I got this same camera from camera2000.com and it came with the 15 pin connector. The camera works fine and doesn't seem to have the color problems mentioned earlier here that required taking off the IR filter. I've copied the settings as much as possible from the TBS video. Now I want to hook it up to my minimosd and APM but I can't find any cables in my cable bin that are THAT small! I thought I could use a GPS cable but even that is too big. I would prefer the 15 pin since it would hold better but I think a 3 pin of the same spacing would work also.

Any idea where to get this cable?
