I finally finished my stand for my 12V TV.
I tried it out last weekend and liked it so much better than the Fatsharks.

I can also use this TV in my RV and such. The aluminum was all scraps from Work. It took me close to 8 hours to build the adjustable base (including polishing) I probably spent another 5 hours designing / building / fitting / painting the hood.
The Screws holding it all together are all stainless steel.
Your comment is exactly what keeps me motivated on projects like these.

Haha. Well if we can ever work it out I'd love to bring the wing down there and give it a whirl I've never flown from anything btu goggles so I know it'll be different. Your propery is setup perfectly for a "fly from inside the house" setup. Antennas on the roof, big TV in the lab - something w/ about 10 mile range in any direction would be sweet.

Yeah I am - LOL. I'm getting the wing ready as we speak. I'll be there about 12 - 12:30. As long as we have good weather I'll be there. My patch limits me to about 5 miles, but we'll see what the range is like in your neck of the woods.

Thanks for coming down Sentry, I still cant believe the golf cart flying out come..... Geeez what a mess that was.. I had a senior moment for sure.

I did have a pretty dang good FPV flight and really love my monitor stand. I look forward to getting a new wing built for better performance.

LOL. That was pretty funny - LOL. I got home and resolved my issue w/ my plane. Was going to test b4 work but I'll test after work.

1) The black patch (Cercom) had a wire pulled out of the cable when I took the tape/shrink off.

2) The tracker has a 4 pin plug for the AV +, -, audio L, audio R ---- well inside of the box the pins are mismatched. In order to get video I have to connect red to yellow on the RCA cable. Rather than contact Skylark I'll just open the box and re-arrange the pins.

3) The DL was re-hotglued to the pins in a more secure fashion.

So all in all - she was a happy plane last night. I'll take her through some paces after work. So whenever the patch is open again let me know. I'm 0 for 2 at the patch and I have a score to settle. LOL.
