Don't steal, the government hates competition.
Looks like I need to start selling to the guys who buy these antennas. I could make a killing!
I love this:
Gain- 14db
beamwidth: 57 degrees.
If that's the case, that antenna holds the answer to the World energy crisis.
The real specs are:
Gain: 10.4 db
Beamwidth: 48 degrees

If it is broken, fix it. if it isn't broken, I'll soon fix that.

No kidding! Also I don't see how they could possibly be 460-900mhz, is that possible?

The bandwidth is accurate. Helicals cover an incredibly wide band of frequencies. It's the other specs that are garbage.

Wow, had no idea helicals had such a wide bandwidth. So could I use my 1280mhz helical for 910mhz with decent results? No harm in trying I guess.![]()

VSWR of a VAS helical for 1280MHz:
910MHz - 1.6
1040 MHz - 1.4
1160 MHz - 1.7
1280MHz - 1.0
The rejection pattern is a sinusoidal wave convolved with an exponential function. It's great because you can use it for a huge range of frequencies. However, this is one of the biggest downfalls of the helical: it pulls in lots of noise...
