    Which Pixim?

I am about to get a Security2000 pixim cam.
Which one seems better do you have any experience with either.

    http://www.securitycamera2000.com/pr...-OSD-Menu.html

This one seems better but it is bigger with case and such. I am thinking this is a better option.

    http://www.securitycamera2000.com/pr....6mm-lens.html

This one seems more compact and is advertised a 10g lighter, the drawback that I see is the OSD control in the cable. Is there an alternative to this?
Let me know about your experiences with these of if there is another option I am not seeing.
    Thanks for the help.

Have you used it yet. . . I saw that you have one ordered?
Sanders advice is always good advice.
I am wondering about how to address the osd control?

I'm interested in how you solve this one.
SANDER where R U. . . How did you work around the OSD control in the cable.
If their online support is up later this evening I will ask them for an answer.

the first one has integrated buttons, the second one requires the wire that has a joystick thing.

I got the one with the external buttons already here, I'm not too impressed by it. and there are 2 of the first one with integrated buttons in the mail right now. Once they are all here I should be able to tell which one is in fact better. I gave up on the trappy pixim (and psu) for my setup otherwise i'll never fly my zeph.

On the one with the external buttons (joystick in grey cable) do you have to keep the controller connected, It looks like it is integrated with the power supply and video wires?

edit: I just chatted with seccam2000 and they suggested this cable to remove the OSD joystick.
    http://www.securitycamera2000.com/pr...IR-Camera.html

They told me if I leave a note with the order they will modify the cable for me. (that might be the final selling point)

m'ck'yDoes that look like it would work to you? Let me know what you think b4 I make a $100 error LOL

YES will work , I used my own little 3 pin connector from an older camera and it works. I only have to connect the button loom to do adjustments which is REALLY ANNOYING. to simplify I got myself 2 of the ones with built in control. otherwise you need to always disconnect/reconnect making things weaker and connect to an lcd and add power to the bullet.. argh.. u get the idea.

edit, if you but this cable, u still have to chop off the rest, all you really need is the little white plug with 3 pins and servo wires.

I mounted a rear facing camera for more fun/chasing/formation and man it's damn hard I swear! flying forward while looking backward! My rear camera does not have osd/ability to flip horizontally. I got these 2 bad boys for this purpose(mirror option) I can't wait to fly (bakwards lol) with the new pixims.

That should be cool if it doesn't cause you to crash. . . airbagit13 has some pretty cool pan servos on some of his flight cams.

I think I am going to go for the camera and see what Security camera 2000 does to solve the cable issue for me. . . I'll report back.
I had an online conversation and was told if I put a note on my order they Will customize the cables to allow for power and video connection without the controller and also be able to use the OSD controller. . . S**T at the rate I kill cameras If I don't like it I'll just put it on a beater plane. . . If I like it I'll put it on "THE PROJECT"
