i use a seperate 3s lipo and standard lawmate regulator. never had any interference. 420 rmrc 12v cam and 500mw 2.4 Lm tx

you can say what you want about extra batts being a weak point or whatever but to me it is so much cheaper and easier than trying to filter and troubleshoot interference in the system when running off the flight batts.

i dont even use shielded wire at the moment LOL not a single ferrite ring or filter in my video circuit. no interference to speak of.

Nice, it looks rock solid in the air and on the ground.

There was a bit of wind, but I can definitely see spots that tell me that my 2x3mm depron winglets (glued together) are flexing. I need a much stiffer solution. I also think they may be a TAD bit too big.

ABS?? PLY?? I'm open for suggestions.
The rates and expo are being massaged every flight - she's not quite where I want her yet - that will take more hours on the bird to dial in.

5mm coroplast, which alot of for sale signs ect are made out of is very stiff( if used with the flutes parrallel to the wing from front to back), but a bit thick. 4mm is nice.

Goop works great for attaching it.

I use separate batteries as well. When I say noise, I don't mean interference getting into other components on board, but lines in the video. Not motor noise either, they're uniform diagonal lines. It's switching noise from the power supply.

^^ Correct. Also - I am an engineer by trade. I actually enjoy trying to figure things out. I am also HUGE on the autonomy of the plane. There is plenty of power on the plane to power all the components, so I like to use that on-board power. I only get smarter when there are technical solutions that need to be carved out. I love it.

The little problems are what keep it interesting! (lets call them design challenges) If we all just bought RTFs, slapped on some FPV gear, and flew for miles without issue, what would be the fun in that? lol

    CG position for Scout Bee?

Have just received my kit from Lindinger, all there except building instructions.
Am in the process of building, and my calculated CG position is about 10.4 in aft of the nose. Can anyone confirm this as a starting point?
I have been flying a Beevolution for a couple of years, and the CG position in the building instructions was wrong anyway, much too far forward, the calculated one for a mean chord at 23 % is 1 inch further aft, and seems a good value for an average pilot. Click image for larger version

That sounds good. Mine is at 10 inches back from the nose. With my battery bay configuration I get some adjustment by moving the batteries around a bit.

Thanks, SENTRY, I have almost finished the build, and am eager to go for the maiden flight!

I watched the pictures in the first post. Pretty hard to locate the plane, though. Could you post some up-close pics? Preferably without the silly white and orange stuff covering the "item" of interest!
