omg so what going on. how are you guys checking cof ?
I went with (1) 5000mah. I put my CG 10" to 10.25". The CG on this plane is just behind the curved carbon spar. I use pin stripe 1/4" to mark my CG. The front of the pin stripe is at 10". The CG on mine changes some by an 1/8 when my props fold back. If I remove my Go Pro I add soft lead plate under my battery, and balance on the line at the field. You can find soft lead at Home Depot, it's in the roofing department, it's used for flashing. What's nice about it is, that it can be stacked, molded and cuts with scissors. I made something for checking CG out of triangled wood, with dowls on the bottom. This is so I can change the width of the CG machine at any time. Or simpley two pencils stuck in a 2 X 4 will do and lay the plane on the rubber ends.

Wow, that's really helpful. Thanks for the post. I'm at the CG balancing stage as we speak.

I balance wings using the rounded end of a screwdriver handle. The rounded end allows for the plane to tilt when you're not exactly on CG. The rubber grip keeps the plane stuck to the screwdriver handle even if it's tilted on a 45 degree angle.

I used 2x3300 and it balanced pretty well. I had to add one small piece of lead by the camera and one on the wingtop opposite the VTX.

Okay folks. Starting my Scout Bee build this weekend. Going with 2X 3300 3S and a Turnigy SK3 1250kv swinging a 9 X 6 aeronaut folder. 70A Turnigy Trust ESC. Flying at high altitude (9,000 feet) so we'll see. Going with a 1.3 ghz ReadymadeRC setup. 400mW on the vTX. Flying 2.4 right now, will transit to something else later.

Are you sure you can get 9000feet on 2.4? I think that might be pushing it a little. What system are you using?

I expect he means he lives at a high altitude, not that he's planning on a 9000ft flight from sea level.

Yes. Sorry, should have been clearer. Ya, elevation at my house is 8,885 feet ASL. Thin air...

Very nice indeed she is and I'm sure she is a nice prise in your collection. However, I should have been more specific as to what I was getting at. I was try to get inf on the x8 wing . And I am sorry for the wrong inf. happy 4 to you and the family.
