Thread: TBS CAIPIRINHA - small flying wing

  1. #4131
FYI, I asked Trappy on FB a couple days ago and he said it should be arriving "Tomorrow". I assume he means at their facility because I didn't order one. Unless he sent me one which I would be OK with.

I'm hoping this means there's a release is in the near future.

Cool, I check their website a few times a day hoping for news. Finally got my 3S Caipi flying, and love it. Still have to work out a few bugs with the Evo F3 setup, but Acro mode is pretty smooth. In clean air it's really not needed, but it's almost always super windy where I fly, and it does a pretty good job of cleaning up flight through rough air. My only real complaint with the Caipi is yaw waggle. The Zephyr II has a pretty big problem with this too. One of my friends is flying a Zeta Wing Wing, and it does not seem to have the yaw problem. It uses inboard vertical fins instead of winglets. I'm wondering if that's a better solution. I might try adding some fins just outside of the prop line, and maybe smaller winglets to see if i can clean it up.

Try smaller symetrical winglets for a 3s capirihnia. I liked that a lot more. Still a little waggle but slower so it wasn't as distracting

Thanks for the advice. I might try that. At the moment I have the huge rabbit ear winglets on it, which may be too much.

Capi 2 was early released yesterday. No build manual or log or video - it's a builders kit at this point but i it's out there! Carries a session, up to 6600 mah of 4s, has a 10x5 folder and is under 40". Pretty slick...
