As I still don't know if I will succeed in the development of a circular polarized, omnidirectional, flat antenna, right now the Skew Planar Wheel is still my first choice.
I have tried an improved construction method, and I am quite happy with the results. Basically is adding strenth with a PVC 5mm tube and some epoxy over the soldering, and painting it for avoiding rust and get a more professional looking. I also needed an angled SMA, to embed the video transmitter in the wing and be able to tilt the antenna axis 45º. Next week I will measure the impact of the epoxy and the painting on the antenna performance, but I hope it would be negligible.
Now THAT is something I'd fly.

Very nice. Posting your pioneering research is great, especially when you find the optimum placement of these on the super alulah 2.1 (still not a kit?)
Also in relation to the2.4 LawMate 500mW frequencies, I believe that your frequencies are correct for the second iteration of the product, older versions have the others.
Then I have to find out for sure if the one from readymrc have the wrong numbers listed cause i want to have the one with built in battery. And be able to use non wifi channels.
Wao that ant look super. By any chance do you have a pic with it on your hands for a better picture on how big they are.
Wish i could build stuff that looked as nice as that.

It that i saw a 5.8ant next to a pilot figure head and is about the same size tiny.
Never seen a 2.4 next to something i can identify better. Not to big not that small.
if im not wrong then a 1.2 would be 2 times the size of that 2.4?
