So i did trappy's RP8D1 rssi mod and got it working(i also added the 10k ohm resistor.) The rssi outputs .9v-2.2v; when hooked up to the e-osd from HK the voltage changes to .37v-.85v.
Do i have to mod the Rx further, or is this ok?

Sounds like you'll need to do a voltage calibration on the HK OSD, if you want true values.
I already calibrated the voltages.
Does anyone here with any experience with the RP8D1 have any idea?
Check your solder joints and wire, and test that voltage input on the osd with a known voltage source.
All connections are fine. The voltage input on the e-osd is showing true values.
It happened to me too. It is a to low voltage to show. So the osd makes it really weird. You should use a rssi buffer.
Yes you need to use a simple op-amp buffer as the OSD is loading the RSSI signal and affecting it.
I am looking to mod my RP8D1 just for rssi on an e-osd. what part of trappy's mod dd you do? once you get it going let me know as I would love to full details.

The one thing I know how to do well with FPV - crash. All in a day of fun!
I believe landing is a full body experience .... I do my best to aim for your body.
Can you point me to a thread or even tell me what I need to buy from Radioshack?Yes you need to use a simple op-amp buffer as the OSD is loading the RSSI signal and affecting it.
Sure, I will post a few pics of everything I did to mod the RP8D1 for the E-osd.I am looking to mod my RP8D1 just for rssi on an e-osd. what part of trappy's mod dd you do? once you get it going let me know as I would love to full details.
