I just realized that when I moved the fpvmanuals site to a new, stronger server, that one library was not installed, which caused an error during check-out. If you tried to order a tricopter kit and it failed, please try again -- everything is working again as expected. Sorry!

Tim, what exactly are the "Vibration bobbins"?

And, What is the ETA for the Zephyr II?

    Thanks! -Tyler

Vibration bobbins are a great upgrade to eliminate vibrations in the video picture. You use 4 of them to attach the bamboo plate to the frame instead of the standard black stand-offs. Those in combination with the new camera bad and well balanced props and motors smooth out the video picture considerably -- I even got it to a point where I have 0% visible vibrations left in the GoPro picture.

The bobbins look like this: two metal threads (M3) with a latex or rubber core. The durometer should be fairly soft... say 30A-40A. I am still trying to source them and sell them.

    Pro Tricopter with 4s

I've been flying my v1.1 kit with HK NX-4008 620kv motors.

    I've also been flying with a 3300mAh 4s lipo.

I'm still using the regular Plush 18A ESCs. I'm also using 10x4.5 GWS props as I'm waiting for a shipment from APC. These motors can also turn 11x4.7 props if you need even more lift.

This is an overall good combo. The 4s provides lots of excess power, which makes flying a lot more fun. The more headroom the harder you can ascend and descend. You'll never run out of power. With this set-up you gain an additional 450g of payload lifting power (or so). So, add plenty of FPV gear, a second GoPro, etc. Total flight time with this set up is a solid 18+ minutes.

The fpvmanuals store will soon be carrying the NX-4008 motors, APC props (10x4.7 and 11x4.7), and the Plush 18A ESCs.

Really enjoying my delrin tri. Its great in all weather, today we flew a kite then flew the tri. Strangely i think i'm flying it better in the wind, it forces me to move it around with more authority...

What can I adjust if when I raise thrust slowly nothing happens then just before halfway the motors just come on at about what would be the right speed for that setting (usually flipping). I need to be able to build up to that slowly?

I get at least 18 minutes. Don't forget that you can't do that with the 2213N motors -- they are only rated for 3s.
