one of the grub screws that keeps the bell motor in the mount came loose whilst flying today (will upload vid when edited), don't like bell style motors, I have the recommended moxie motors on the way anyway, I ordered the brushless outrunner motor mounting kit at the same time as the Tri kit, so won't have any issues with replacing the motors.

I will say though, it fell from about 6ft onto concrete and the only thing broken was the screw head of one of the nylon bolts keeping the motor mount attached to the wood. I think I'll replace with metal m3 screws for my purposes lol, but great kit brilliant material.

Hey guys. Could use some help getting my Y6 flying. So, after my month of waiting for my HK order to arrive so I could put some motors on this great kit, I finally got it all built out. I was looking forward to a short test-flight so I could put together a build log, but unfortunately it ended after only a couple seconds, breaking the tail boom. Re-did all my calibrations and put a new tail on. This time it flew for almost 5 seconds before it bit the dust and broke the tail again. I'm using the HK KK board v2, so I'm not expected auto-pilot hovering, but it should at least be trying to keep itself level, right? Any tips would be appreciated.

    Hi Tim,
What are the main differences with the KK Blackboard and the HK kk board? I have ordered the HK KK board V2 but if there are advantages with changing then I will definitely upgrade.
Do any of these boards have self-levelling, etc??

Yep, First Tricopter and first ever RC.
Don't know anything about electronics or soldering, etc
Really want to get into this mainly for the video. I have some amazing country up here and believe I can get some very interesting perspectives with the Tri - providing I can build and fly it!!!!
